EIZO Makes the 2023 Climate Change A List by Obtaining the Highest Score from the CDP

General corporate news

EIZO Corporation announced that it was selected as one of among 21,000 companies evaluated to receive an A score as a result of the Climate Change 2023 Questionnaire conducted by the CDP, an international non-profit organization that operates a global disclosure system for managing environmental impacts.

The CDP questionnaire consists of approximately 130 questions related to climate change, including governance, business strategy, and stakeholder engagement activities. CDP assesses companies’ efforts to prevent climate change, including GHG (greenhouse gas) emission reductions, and rates them on an eight-point scale from A to D-. An F score is given to companies with inadequate or non-responsive disclosure. Of the more than 21,000 companies evaluated, 346 made it onto the 2023 Climate Change A List. The A score recognizes EIZO’s progressive efforts to contribute to a decarbonized society.

In keeping with EIZO’s corporate philosophy of “Through the pursuit of imaging solutions with advanced technologies, we enrich people in their professional and personal lives”, EIZO has continued to carry out environmentally conscious product manufacturing and business activities. EIZO is further accelerating Response to Climate Change, one of EIZO’s materialities, by implementing information disclosure based on TCFD recommendations and obtaining SBT certification for its GHG (greenhouse gas) emission reduction targets. In May 2023, EIZO established its “Transition to Net Zero” climate transition plan, under which EIZO aims to achieve Net Zero GHG emissions by the year 2040. EIZO will continue to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society through these and other initiatives.
